I walk through the hallway portraits of strangers glaring back at me An empty stare returns my wondering eyes I wonder what they'd think of me This empty building Sprinkled with water and light Returns my wandering footsteps As if someone's joining me I think someone's joining me As I enter the studio The speakers blare my favorite song And I wonder if someone's listening feeling the same things I do And as the song starts to fade the on-air light starts to shine and dim I call out the song and move along hoping my words and feelings will one day reach them Would you mind if I reached you? I pack my bags and lock the door the station's sound seems to fade away and in due time the show is mine but now it's just another empty airwave Will I reach them anymore? Was there anyone I was reaching anyway I turn on my car radio and I hear my prerecorded message say I hope you have a nice day. And as the song starts to fade the on-air light starts to shine and dim I call out the song and move along hoping my words and feelings will one day reach them Would you mind if I reached you?

During the summer of 2011, a broken hard drive that carried nearly a decade of music I had been recording and learning had been fried, and my memory of riffs, lyrics and messages lackluster at best. From spoken word and experiments in sound to instrumentals and full songs, I assembled hours (and possibly days) of material that gave me a view into my early years, and how far I've evolved as an artist. I promised myself when I was 18 that I would finish an "album," or at least a collection of recordings I've made in the past ten years to show my family and friends, who have almost never heard me sing or play outside of muffled bits and pieces behind my locked door. Music has been my life ever since I was a child, from listening to classical music as a kid religiously to listening to my first album. From when my life felt like a complete failure to my proudest moments, I've created a soundtrack for everything in between. Diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome when I was 4, my first official release's title is a nod to something I've been trying to overcome for nearly my entire life. At its core, Twitch is less of a showcase of my ability and more of a soundtrack to an attempt to recover sounds I created in the past; songs, riffs and words that I have built and lost during my teenage and adult life.
